Location services and how they work

Location services help identify where you are during an alert. This can be especially helpful if you're away from home.

How it works

• Emergency alerts and calls connect over cellular.
• Depending on the device, location may be determined using GPS and other signals.
• Some devices may use nearby Wi-Fi signals only to improve location accuracy.

If your location looks inaccurate

• Move to an area with clearer sky view (outdoors) when possible.
• Give the operator any helpful details about your location.
• Confirm your home address and unit number are correct in your profile.
